Katlyn our oldest granddaughter of 5 years, started kindergarten this year. She has blossomed so much, wanting to do homework every day when she gets home. I know that won't last in her later years.
Dominic our grandson will be 3 on Nov 30 th, and acts like he is so older. He keeps Eddie & I on our feet every minute he is here. He loves going with Grandpa shopping, cause Eddie lets him help put the stuff in the basket or helps him count how many they are getting of something. I started preschool activities with the daycare kids on the 8 of this month, and he wants to be right in there doing everything the 4 year old kids are doing.
Skylee is our youngest granddaughter, she will be 1 on Nov 29. In the last couple of weeks two teeth have broken through her gums. She has been crawling all over the place, and now she is pulling herself up. She is a happy baby, and her little laughs are so fun to listen to.
This past Friday Sept 26, Eddie & I celebrated our 27th year of marriage. How the time flies by when your in love. The first week in Sept, we took our vacation time. First we rode the bike down to Kalamazoo area to hang out with our bikers friends. Then I woke up with my right hip-thigh in pain and swollen. After chatting with the doctor on call, we headed back home to the ER here in Lansing.
They said it's bursitis and follow up with my primary doctor. She gave me a shot of cortisone, ouch did that hurt. I decided I would be in pain either at home or on vacation the rest of the week. So we stayed at 2 different Bed & Breakfast places. One in Coldwater and the other down in Nappanee, IN. Where we stayed last year and ate supper with the same Amish family. We had an awesome time, but we did take the van to finish out the rest of our vacation, so I rested off and on with my leg elevated & ice on it.
Last Sunday we were riding around with the 2 oldest grandkids and decided to go get some apples at this orchard. On the way back we seen a sign Free puppies. After telling Ed to turn around just to look, but we were not getting one to take home. I fell in love with our new puppy named pepper, who was 6 weeks at the time. He seems like he has grown already in just one week. His mom is a chocolate lab, and his dad is unknown. Pepper is black along with all the other 9 siblings he has. One did have a white paw and another had a little patch of white on it's chest. Klondike our 11 year old chocolate lab does not like Pepper at all. Hopefully he will accept him soon.

a new pup - what fun...sort of. us, we're cat people with all the travelling, etc., but pups are cool if you have the energy...and it's understandable that klondike is annoyed. after all, he now has to share the spotlight. enjoy....
